We just completed another wild weekend in college football! For the 2nd time in 2 weeks the #1 team in the BCS was beat. This week #2 happened to fall as well. K-State was beat down in Waco by Baylor, while Stanford figured out a way to slow down Oregon's high-octane offensive attack. These surprises opened up the door for Notre Dame to become the new #1 for the 1st time since the BCS began. And guess what boys and girls? The weekend surprises also opened up the door for an old BCS friend, the SEC. Just a week after it appeared the SEC's reign was over, now it looks like a virtual lock that an SEC team will play for the National Championship. Alabama jumps right back up to #2 a week after they lost, while Georgia and Florida follow right behind them. Aside from the title race, it will also be interesting to see if there are enough bowl eligible teams to fill the slate of bowl games. I had to project some teams climbing back to .500 just to get enough teams in the projections. A lot can and will change over the next few weeks. The Ringer Poll is what we use here. This is where your favorite team would likely be headed if the Ringer Poll is what determined the BCS and bowl games were to be set today. (Rankings are based on current Ringer Poll)
