The initial BCS rankings came out this week, and once again the SEC reigns supreme. Alabama and Florida topped the rankings. The season has been somewhat unpredictable so far. Following Alabama and Florida are Oregon, Kansas State, and Notre Dame. Of the BCS top 5, only Alabama and Oregon were expected to be there. Florida and Kansas State get the opportunity to prove their worth even further with huge conference battles this weekend. Florida welcomes South Carolina to The Swamp in a pivotal SEC East matchup. Kansas State travels to Morgantown to try to send West Virginia to a 2nd consecutive loss. Of course that means that there could be some early shakeups in the BCS.
