The trading deadline has now passed in MLB. This puts us about 2/3 of the way through the season. The summer is heating up and so are the pennant races. The trading deadline saw some of the rich get richer - as the Philadlephia Phillies landed All-Star Hunter Pence from Houston - and some teams made a last ditch effort to keep their head above water - as the Cleveland Indians traded for OF Kosuke Fukudome and former All-Star RHP Ubaldo Jimenez.
